G.LOOMIS SAMR 1024C CAST ROD

This is a casting rod designed for mooching in the ocean or drift fishing in rivers. It is surprisingly light considering the magnum power. There's plenty of strength in the butt-section to move fish away from trouble and manage them in the swift currents. The tip is relatively fast and it's very sensitive, allowing you to feel that subtle take that can make catching salmon in the rivers so difficult. Note: the lure rating refers to trolling/mooching weight. If you are casting from boat or bank in the river, it will handle 2 to 3-ounces effectively.
